Thirty More Minutes

So I had this naïve idea when I was pregnant that I would be able to blog now that I had quit my job. Let me tell you, parenting is no small feat! Fast forward to now, my kiddo is a ripe 2 1/2 years old and I have just started this blog.

This is my first 30 minutes. I am using it as wisely as possible as the small tiny person in the other room plays with a toy that he shouldn't be playing with while he "naps". Here are the things that peak my interest:

Parenting- sounds weird to say that but it was honestly the first thing that came to mind.

Crafting - everything except paper crafts, well maybe some. I'm more about the hands on, getting dirty and messy stuff. I've got lots of fabric, a nice sun porch with window for ventilation and tons of spray paint. I'm also down to show how I make some jewelry and maybe show a few sewing projects.

Cooking - I'm working on a book to feed millions... or at least large families...or maybe make a plate of food as fast and as cheaply as possible with whole foods and fresh everything.

Baking- because I like to bake foo'! I don't play games when it comes to this, butter is my best friend, sugar is a very close friend and I'm currently trying to exchange white flour for whole wheat flour. I like a diverse pantry.

Gardening: One day, I will feed the entire USA on volunteer work and with much love for free. Mark my words. It will happen.

Did I mention that I was a Christian? That may play in to some of this, although not sure how much, my faith will be intricately woven into the words I type as intricately as God has made the flowers of the fields and decorated the sky with stars.

Um also Marriage, that's a pretty big one.

Oh and organizing, It's my new favorite thing. Boxes and preparing and sorting and storing.

So I guess this is all encompassing. Seems as I write this out that I am just going to cover everything. I'll give advice when It's not asked for and I will voice my opinion and make projects and just spend 30 minutes in blocks of time for something fun. I have no idea what I'm doing besides listening to things as they hit my kids floor and typing with a little bit of fear because God only knows the things I will encounter when I open that door. Sometimes it's a naked baby. Sometimes... all the time.

  1. Thank you so much for starting a blog on these topics. We all need to focus much more on raising good kids and learn to enjoy a clean house without having to clean it. :) How much do you think you will post? Once a month? Once a week? Whatever you do, Be Blessed.
